This is an artistic project by Lauren McCarthy and Kyle McDonald. You may participate in the project free of charge using your webcam, providing you are of age.
To participate, please follow the written instructions presented to you. You will be asked to perform various actions and gestures in front of the webcam, such as “screaming”, “nodding”, “making eye contact”, etc.
Should your performance of an action last longer than that of your predecessor, the corresponding video recording will be presented at the Portrait Gallery and be fundamentally visible to any Internet user. No sound recordings will be made; only the moving image is transmitted.
We will store the recordings on a server in the USA. They will be used by Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt and the artists solely for the purposes of this performance.
We may also feature the recordings on social media platforms (e.g. Facebook) or in press and other media publications. Otherwise, the recordings will not be passed on to third parties.
